Welcome to BETA BATTLERS, a Beta 1.7.3 multiplayer PVP-map inspired by Hypixel's Mega Walls.

-----------
HOW TO PLAY
-----------

This game is optimized for groups of 6 to 16 players, with 3 to 8 players per team.
(Consider 5 or 6 players per team for optimal gameplay)

When everyone is logged into the server and the teams have been made, go down the tunnel and take
the minecart to your corresponding team's Respawn Room. Have the server OP or Admin set the time
to night and make sure every player sleeps to set their spawn point in the Respawn Room.

When both teams are ready, flip the levers and wait for the game to start. When the bell rings and
the gates open, jump down to start playing.

You have a 25-minute "grace period", during which you must gather resources, build traps and craft
gear and weapons. You have nearly full survival rights, with a few minor but obvious exceptions.
(See RULES)

The arena has been modified with increased ore, increased cave generation and all kinds of hidden
passages and secret rooms with treasure. You are allowed to dig and build as you please (within the
rules), including tearing apart or fortifying your castle.

When the timer hits 00, the coloured wall in the centre of the map will disappear, and the second
phase of the game will trigger.

From this point onwards, the goal is to bring the opposing team's HP to 0 (HP-bar is located on the
wall above the castle). HP is reduced by standing inside the enemy's Core. The Core is located in
the bedrock room below the Respawn Room. It is specifically the 3x3 marked alcove at the back of
the room. Standing inside The Core for roughly 30 seconds will lower the HP by 1.

You must fight your way to the opponents' Core and stand inside it. However, the opponent will try
to do the same to you, so you must also prevent them from entering your team's Core. I would
suggest putting at least 1 or 2 players on defence, with the remainder going on offence.

PVP is enabled, which means the teams must battle it out to win the game. Death is not permanent,
and you can immediately jump back into the game when you respawn. There is even an Iron Sword-
dispenser in your Respawn Room, for some quick arms if needed.

The same rules that apply to your team's territory are also in effect for your opponent's area.
This means you are allowed to play survival in your enemy's land, including breaking apart the
enemy base if desired.

The game ends when one team has their HP drop to 0, at which point a little victory sequence is
activated.

-----
EXTRA
-----

- There is a waiting room with some parkour at the beginning of the map. Players can play in this
area while waiting for everyone to join and the game to begin.

- Clouds are very annoying in this map. I would recommend using either Optifine or the texturepack
included with the download to remove the clouds.

- There is a lot of redstone and automation in this map, making sure everything runs smoothly. Even
though everything has been tested thoroughly, Beta Minecraft can be very unstable at times.

- The HP runs on a spawner-based system. One uninterrupted spawn cycle takes roughly 30 seconds,
but might vary a bit. In my tests, spawning still averaged out to 30 seconds per cycle.
